hello from virginia :)

hi everyone, i'm from richmond, va and just moved to baden a month ago. i've been living in paris for the last year (and japan before that) and came here with my boyfriend who was offered a good job. i am currently trying to figure out what to do with myself - i don't have a work permit but hopefully i can find some volunteer work!
hm about me... i majored in anthropology studied tibetan too (yes, both useful subjects i know) - i loved them both. i've been teaching english for the last few years but that's not what i want to do in the long run (still trying to figure it out). i love art and coffee. i'm a bad skier. i love southern comfort food and sushi. haha, that's all i can think of!
if any of you live in baden and want to meet up for coffee, let me know!

Hi Noisette, welcome to EF

Once you find your way around, you might want to join the American International Women's club in Zurich http://www.awczurich.org/

Hi and welcome.

Actually you're going to have to learn to ski, and you can also learn a new language

Have fun

Re: hello from virginia :)

Hi Hazel, forgive me being so bold, but noisette is after all the French for "Hazelnut".
I just thought Hi Hazel, would be better than Hi Nut, if you get my meaning.

Welcome to Switzerland/Baden and the forum.

The coffee here is pretty darn good in my books, so at least you have that covered.

Keep your eyes and ears open, you will certainly find a place to implement your skills. The renumeration is of course, less certain.

Skiing is only one part of the up and coming winter. There are many things other than that to enjoy in the snowy climes.

Enjoy your time here.

Hi and welcome.

Learning to ski is very important here.

Learning german...meh, insignificant details.
