We are moving to Chur after the Holidays and would like to meet some English speaking friends. My husband will be working all day and would love someone to hang out with!

All the Best,
Shawn

Re: Moving to Chur

Hi there.
Not sure if this thread is still active...
Been in Chur for almost a couple of months, just found out about this Forum.
Wondering if anyone is keen to do meet-ups in Chur?

Welcome to the EF! and to Chur!
My family and I have been here for 3 years now, haven't had a meetup since Puhutes moved to the end of the world, she was the organizer... the rest of us are too lazy I think, I know I am.

Thanks for the replies

@TC - 3 years! Wow! You must be fully settled by now.
Happy to organise a meetup if people are keen and have time. Would be interested to hear how you and your family have adjusted to life in Chur too.

If you guys have the energy to organise, we would happily join in the fun. Would be great to share some insights. Weekends are always for us.

Well, 3 moves (within Chur) in 3 years LOL, but finally a place with a real garden and it feels like home and settling in... we are not completely "moved in" and have to finish the clean up of the old apartment by the 21st of September. I have to get an operation on my knee as somehow I fouled up the meniscus carrying furniture and boxes up and down the stairs

I may be involved in the cleaning these weekends, (the landlord is requiring us to clean and paint the shutters)
I could possibly show up after 14:30 on Sunday at Cafe Arcas, and bring my daughter while my wife cleans

Sounds like an interesting and busy 3 years! Moving house is always so tiring, and sorry to hear about your knee Well, if you're not too busy on the day, hopefully see you and your daughter.

Well the surgery is scheduled for this coming Friday, and they like to take an outpatient procedure and turn it into a 3 day event , I'll be stuck in a hospital bed on Sunday, so I will have to miss this gathering

No worries. Take care. Hope all goes well with the surgery and you have a speedy recovery. Get in touch when you are ready to do another meet-up

Wolli, that's a typical newbie blunder: You are referring to a post from January 2012.

Meanwhile Puhute's "near the Bodensee" means Val Müstair, because her hubbie got a new job there about two years ago, if I remember that correctly.

Weird or what? Has anyone else received something similar? How do I report to admin? I see the member is currently banned but still seems to be able to put in messages.
