Tips needed....a good way to advertise about singing lessons

Hi! Maybe someone has a good idea. I have recently come to Basel and need some information where to advertise best - I am a singing teacher (with experience, have taught at Conservatoire level at home, freelance singer myself) looking for teaching singing to both - adults and children.

Before I speak German well, this doesn't seem to be easy.
Thank you in advance!

Did you try putting up notices at the community notice boards in your nearest Coop and Migros?

How about at churches' bulletin boards? Not sure if they're accessible if you're not a member, but 'choristers' comes to mind.

And online: http://www.gratis-inserate.ch/

make yourself a sandwich board
stand in the main station for an hour a day singing. Maybe even involve people.

 Thanks, Boxman! The spring in the air has made your brain to blossom quite creatively, I wonder what else is there :)

to aout07: I will do that once my blond head figures out how to technically do it....:)

Get in touch with Centre Point in Basel, it's a sort of English speaking International cultural centre with lots of different clubs using the rooms. I did a cheese workshop there last month, I'm sure folk some would be interested in singing lessons.

That is not spring in the air, it must be those chemtrails.... but anyway: Boxmans advice that people might want to get a taste of your art is sound. I would try all the viral approaches: Sing some Basle specific song and put it on youtube. Add in the description that you offer lessons. Whoever searches for this on the portal is probably interested in music and from Basel.
