Hello from Muri bei Bern

Hello,

My family and I moved to Bern last year. My husband is German and I am French. We have 2 daugthers and have lived the expat lives since I studied and started teaching in England ( single and yet with a family!) . But here in Bern, I am at the moment not working . I would be happy to meet other people from Bern and share other experiences.

See you on the Forum!

Welcome to the Forum.

How old are your daughters? You haven't put any info in your profile so I am just guessing that they are still quite small. Maybe there will be other Mums free to meet up with you sometime.

Hope all goes well.

Re: Hello from Muri bei Bern

welcome!
I'm new to Bern as well, but so far so good. I hope you enjoy it.
(I have a daughter who is almost 4 and keeping her occupied has become my preoccupation as we settle in.)

hello Lucie,

Where do you live in Bern?. I am also very busy with my daughters here especially with the way the school system is organised here. My daughters are well settled in and I am really hoping to find a job as I have always worked full time in the past.

Re: Hello from Muri bei Bern

Oh, I'm not so much busy as desperately trying to bridge the time between our temporary living arrangements and our move which will include school for my daughter. (She was in full time school in the US and has been stuck home with me this past month.) Right now we live in the Neufeld area more less. we'll be starting our lease down off Ostring near the Paul Klee museum.
I'm tempted to look for work myself, but I've promised my spouse to see how it goes at home for a bit.
