Hello and welcome to EF.
What you should do is find a local placement agency and ask them to help you out. Kellys, adecco, manpower, etc

Re: The newcomer, from the USA

no permit, no visa. as an american, I do not need a visa. however after my first 3 months of stay, i had to get out of the country for one month. I came back a month ago, and now i have 2 more months, before i have to live again....2 months is not enough to get a job, work permit, and residency permit....I am allowed to stay in switzerland for the duration of 6 months per year.

I hate to say this, but as an American, you are going to find it impossible to obtain a visa to live and work in Switzerland, unless you have a highly specialized field and are tops at it. Or you marry a Swiss.
