From Sweden to Bern

Hello, I'm writing this from Sweden, but will soon be moving to Bern for a new job. I found this forum while looking around for information on the area I'm about to move into.

After quickly browsing the threads here it seems like the worst I need to prepare for is dead-quiet sundays and obsessive garbage sorting.

I'd add to the list the fact that you have to pay for Everything here and not cheap (esp. food).
The garbage just takes getting used to and generally not that bad if you have a carton/paper dumpster in the garage or nearby.

Re: From Sweden to Bern

Have you thought this over? I cried when I left Sweden after a looong vacation.

A good reason to stay

For a Swede, prices in Switzerland should not be a shock... Plus, alcohol is way cheaper.

To the OP: Welcome to the forum and welcome (eventually) to Bern!

Hallå där,
Hej och välkommen till Bern. Du kommer att hitta här i Schweiz fler svenskar än vad du tror. Drop a line om du är på humör för IKEA FOOD nångång.

lycka till

This is the English Forum. It is customary to provide an English translation as well.

Welcome to Switzerland from Sweden!
