Hi everyone... (clears throat nervously)

So! I'm moving from London to Zurich in January to join my husband. He's been working there for the past few months (uh, since we got married, actually...).

I'm a writer. Was a copywriter in advertising for most of my 20s and then started writing books. Not sure exactly where we'll be living yet, hopefully somewhere within a very, very short stroll to good coffee and people-watching. Very much looking forward to the move. Spent my childhood and teenage years moving around Asia so looking forward to getting back into the expat zone...

Hi Gemma,

I just moved out to Basel from Scotland a few weeks ago. We have a temp flat right in the city - bakeries and shops right at the foot of the stairs!! Its like we're living in Harrods!! We will be spending the first few weeks or so getting to know Basel but definitely want to explore Zurich to see what that has to offer and explore the countryside as well.
