Introduction

Hi all. I am Traci - new to Zurich and will be here for two years working on a project. I am most interested in social events, meeting people, and learning German. I have found this forum most helpful and look forward to meeting many of you.

to the EF, clevelandgirl! Just in case you have not yet noticed, there is a calendar tab right in the middle of the blue bar at the top of each page. Lots of events in Zurich for you!

Re: Introduction

Hey Traci, welcome to the EF!

The Social Events section of the site is great for catching up with a variety of people for a range of activities - with location listed in the thread titles.
As for learning German, one tip: even when shop assistants and so forth reply to your initial attempts with English, stick with the German as much as you can - you can have a conversation where you speak in poor German, and the other person speaks in better English (I know I have!).

Look for the little quote button at the bottom of each post - it helps identify who you're talking to .
