Richdog's Big Nikon Sellout (D750, 24-120, 70-200 VRII 2.8, 35mm 1.4, 50mm 1.8) [ZRH]

Hi guys,

So, due to a change in life priorities I am now selling all of my beloved (and I do mean beloved) Nikon DSLR full-frame gear. All gear is in great condition with original box and accessories. Warranties are all transferable.

All best prices taken from Toppreise.ch, no imported goods taken are into account and only reputable stores are considered.

I am open to offers (especially to combine items) to a reasonable and sensible level, and no lowball offers will be considered or replied to. I'm in no desperate rush to sell.

All items can be viewed in person, please PM to arrange a viewing.

COLLECTION ONLY, NO POSTAGE

Cheers.

Nikon 35-70mm f/2.8D AF
Best price: n/a no longer produced
Warranty: None.
My price: 250chf

Reviews: http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-35-70mm-...ds=nikon+35-70

It really is a super sharp lens and the image quality is fantastic... but I really want optical stabilization for low light situations so sadly this is better finding a new home. This is a rare lens, pro quality build and optics, and near-pristine examples like this are hard to find (hence why I bought it in the first place). It is unboxed but with front and rear lens cap.

Nikon 105mm Macro f/2.8D AF
Best price: n/a no longer produced
Warranty: None.
My price: 250chf

This macro really is a super sharp lens and the image quality is fantastic... metal build and pro quality build and optics, and near-pristine examples like this are hard to find (hence why I bought it in the first place). It is unboxed but with front and rear lens cap. The VR version will cost you almost 800chf, so this is an absolute bargain for the image quality you get!

Nikon D750 Full Frame DLSR
Warranty: 03.01.2015 to 03.01.2018
Best price: 1599chf at Fust https://www.toppreise.ch/prod_363922.html
My price: 1200chf

Review here (90% at dpreview): http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikon-d750/16

Simply a stunning camera and widely regarded as the best in its class. I took many lovely photos with it at family events, parties, nightclubs, etc etc. Low light performance is excellent and the camera is quick and responsive.

Extra accessories: 1x spare battery, 1x 32GB SD Card and 1x Yongnuo YN-565E flash (very powerful).

SOLD
Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4
Warranty: until late 2018
Best price: 692.60chf at Microspot https://www.toppreise.ch/prod_295379.html
My price: 550chf

Probably my favourite overall lens. Image quality is razor sharp and the bokeh has a lovely, dreamy creaminess that never failed to make me smile. Images taken with this lens are impressive even at f/1.4. Comes with protective UV filter.

SOLD
Nikon 70-200 VRII f/2.8
Warranty: 29.06.2015 to 29.06.2018
Best price: 1947chf at Microspot https://www.toppreise.ch/prod_175752.html
My price:1650chf

Review: https://photographylife.com/reviews/...-f2-8g-vr-ii/6

A very famous professional or prosumer lens that will likely not be bettered for a long time, and for good reason. Built like an absolute tank, amazing image quality for a telephoto zoom, solid VRII, and f/2.8. It has been used by me only around 5 times so is like new. Comes with protective UV filter.

----------------------------------------------------

SOLD
Nikon 24-120mm f/4
Warranty: 03.01.2015 to 03.01.2018
Best price: 899chf at Digitec https://www.toppreise.ch/prod_207816.html
My price: 550chf

Review: https://photographylife.com/reviews/...120mm-f4g-vr/6

Pretty much the best lens in its class in the Nikon world. Only the Sigma Art 24-105mm can touch it and has less reach. It's a great and very versatile lens and in great condition as I didn't use it a great amount due to having my 50mm and 35mm stuck to my camera most of the time.

Photos see above.

A cheap and cheerful 50mm lens that I had a lot of fun with, it's crazy the value for money that you get with this lens and the image quality is really very good.

I would be interested in the Sigma lens if it isn't sold.

Nikon D750 Body and Sigma lens are now sold to a man who can only be labelled a hero for also helping me to get my new TV-zilla home.

Still left:
  • 24-120
  • 70-200
  • 50mm

Another classic PM (anonymised, of course):

Hello,

I am interested in the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II lens.
Although you stated in the post that you do not consider imported lens price, I am still taking the lowest price on a ch website of 1750 CHF and making an offer of 1350 CHF. Please let me know in case you are interested.

Thanks
I think I was pretty clear in the OP about my selling conditions and lowballers, so please people, don't waste your time.

Hi Richdog,

Has the 50 mm lense been sold yet? If not I would appreciate if you could reserve it for me till I return from my US vacation. If needed I can only transfer the costs up front.

Will be back home on the 22nd of May.

Thanks in advance!

If no one buys it then you can have it, but in general I don't reserve things as I've had so many time wasters in the past.

I didn't say he was time-wasting, I said I don't reserve things due to time-wasters in the past. Someone could transfer the money then still change their mind, wouldn't be the first or last time and of course I would be obliged to refund. If the lens is still available on the 22nd then I will happily sell it to him.

But by all means, stick your size 11's in whenever you like Castro.

Hi Richdog,

I want to use this as a birthday present, so I would need a confirmation whether you can hold it or not. Therefore I offered to pay.

It's easy to say you offer no refund except if the good is not in the condition you advertised.

Not planning on wasting any time here, just don't want to stand without a birthday present for someone when it's needed...

Holger, I can only repeat: if it is still available when you get back you can have it. Otherwise, I am not reserving it for any length of time. It's nothing personal and I'm sure you're a trustworthy guy etc etc. I just don't reserve items based on past experience, and a deposit makes no difference to that. Thanks for your understanding.

Dear Sir,

I am beginning to find this a rather peculiar way of treating people. I've offered to pay the full amount upfront in order to secure the purchase, as I will need to know whether it will be there when I am back or not. If not, then fine, by then I will have to find another birthday present instead. I think this is quite understandable.

I believe you made it very clear you are not interested in a later refund, which I am also willing to fully accept. The only reason I would later want to not accept the purchase is if you have wrongly advertised the condition of the lense. If the lense is in the condition advertised then there will be no issue, nor any possibility of reversing the purchase.

On this behalf, please let me know whether you are willing to sell me your lense or not.

Thank you in advance.

Sorry Holger I think I have already made it clear, no reservations regardless of the amount pre-paid. I can only apologise if that doesn't fit with your own (different) expectations, but I have already told you two times now so please take this as my final answer.

Ouch! What happened Rich? (you don't need to answer). I know I lost the passion for togging some years back, but I never expected you to be selling off your gear (I never did sell mine).

5 years ago I'd have had that 70-200mm, but unfortunately for you I'm no longer in the market.

Anyhow, good luck with the sales.

He is not reserving it, he is buying it (payment in full) and will collect when he gets back.
Ultimately its your item and you can do what you want, but I thought I would just walk you through his proposal in case you're truly having difficulty understanding it.

With the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 art - when I "fine tune" my D750 for my sample for the central AF sensor, then it was way off on the left/right extreme sensors.
I have no such issue with N f/50 1.4 or N f/85 1.8.
However Sigma is much sharper fully open compared to these two Nikon lenses.
What is your experience with this lens? I wonder if I have to return mine or swap it for another one.

Castro it is not me who is having difficulty understanding anything, because none of this is rocket science. I will not accept any prepayment, and until it's physically picked up I would consider any down payment a reservation and not a final sale because I would never not allow someone to change their mind about purchasing, it's a condition I will never make. Whether you agree or understand that or not is by the by, but that is how I choose to conduct my sales and I'm not going to post again on the matter.

Hi yacek, mine was fine from the get go, but you can also buy a Sigma dock that allows you to calibrate the lens if needed http://www.dpreview.com/articles/440...k-quick-review

I know mate, it's a bitter pill to swallow but ultimately I wasn't using it enough barring the occasional event, and each month I kept it was value lost and I'd rather put the money into something else that I do use on a regular basis. I will likely buy a more compact system (Fuji or similar) at some point in future, but for now I'm done lugging heavy and expensive DSLR kit around. Maybe I'll regret it in a few months, who knows, but at the moment it feels like the right thing to do.

Thanks for the well wishes.
