Ditto on this, unless he is a shopaholic with money to burn. He could also return it directly to the shop.

If I was the buyer I would ask to see a receipt.

Remember tax/customs on top of that. Then having to send it back there for warranty purposes.

I was assuming that as it's a Swiss site I was quoting, no taxes would be levied, but I see now that it's shipped from the US, so you may be right.

Ahh they have international-specific sites? Didn't realise. Newegg is one of the oldest US online stores and was big even when I was into all of that stuff 15 years ago.

I ordered it on PC Ostschweiz, they did not have it on stock so they had to order it for me and the order was delayed by couple of weeks.
In the meanwhile, I saw another one that I liked on sale on digitec at 399.

Assuming I can cancel the order on Ostschweiz which I did not (got busy/ not so high on prio list).

And this Friday, 49 inch monitor was shipped, and to return it the conditions are not friendly enough on items which were specifically ordered for customers (not in the warehouse).

I thought selling it here will be simpler but looks like it is not.

Anyway now, I am ready to sell anyone of these:
34 inch ultrawide for 350 (it is 2 weeks old) or 49 inch unopened for 1175.
Bills for both items are available and warranty on both is about 2 years.

Dont ask me about business monitor vs gaming monitor usage not interested in lengthy discussions. I bought what I liked.
