Vinyl records - where can I sell my collection?

so...
it seems that Im getting older and willing to give up my nice vinyl records collection from the 80'.

In any case the music is available on youtube, just in case I want to provide good educational music to my children :msnsarcastic:

The collection includes pank, gothic, electronic etc. (e.g. Joy division, Bauhaus, crass, The mission, sisters of mercy and more).

I tried to put it on Ricardo, but there was no demand :msnshock:

Maybe it will be better to go to a 2nd hand shop which deal with such stuff.
any idea (Zurich/Zug/Luzern areas).

Thanks

I buy quite a few records - unless you have something special (Beatles first press comes to mind), the values revolve around 1CHF per record (or without covers even less)

Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, Joy Division...they are all quite recognisable. But I doubt that they have any collectable value (I found all the examples from the OP's list in eBay for similar but also for a fraction of the Fr.25 asking price per piece), e.g. here, here, and here.

Sisters of Mercy from Leonard Cohen. All others...?

Theres a couple of DJ and Vinyl record shops on Anwand Strasse, Zurich. You can try there but your asking price sounds ambitious. And I would guess they are a bit dated for one of the two shops

Can you please share where you get them? Here, in Basel, the record shops try to charge me 15-20 for almost any old record, which is crazy and I also tend to get them much cheaper when I travel, but would be nice to be able to buy in CH. Also, for new records, I use cede.ch, any other recommendations?

To be fair, most people under 120 and over 8 have heard of Nirvana, The Clash, Joy Division, PIL and Siouxsie & the Banshees (probably in that order)...

Primarily ebay (.de and .co.uk), where I buy in bulk (50-100 records at a time). I have a UK address and a German one and pickup from there - sometimes I get stuff shipped here as well, but rarely.

Within Switzerland, Ricardo sometimes has stuff:
e.g. https://www.ricardo.ch/de/a/50-lps-1028595178/

Physical stores are good, pretty much any Brockehaus (second hand store) will have a set of old records stashed somewhere (the one on Hohlstrasse is particularly good).

and then there's a (very expensive) store on Badenerstrasse which I like trawling through, but rarely buy from.

There's one called 16 Tones which might be interested in a few. Looks like you're trying to make a profit off them, which might make it more complicated.
