coupon transfer question

coupon transfer question

Does 'nur gueltig mit ihrer persoenlichen supercard' mean that it is user/account lock?
Please see photo attached as example.

Background: I am planning to purchase a washer and dryer. I saw on Ricardo I can purchase coupon. Would I have any trouble using it?

Does anyone have recent experience doing this?

https://www.ricardo.ch/kaufen/ticket...v/an924264006/

A side question: the coupon states it is not for online use, is there a price difference if I buy online or at a local store?

Thanks
Kari

WANTED: Fust coupon 10%

[WANTED] Fust coupon 10% coupon (rabatt / rabais)

I am buying a washer dryer set and am looking for any help I can get to bring down the costs.

Online I saw one (picture attached) on ricardo.

If anyone has experience doing this please tell me if it works i.e. transferable.

Thanks
Kari.

'nur gueltig mit ihrer persoenlichen supercard' does indeed mean that it's locked to a specific supercard/Coop account. If this is actually true is another question.

The seller claims it will work with any supercard/account, but that only one coupon per card/account can be redeemed. I do find this believable, but I haven't tried it. You definitely DO need a supercard (Coop account) of your own to use the coupon.

As far as prices are concerned, yes there can be differences between in store and online offers. Sometimes a store has discounts not available online, sometimes it's the other way around. Mostly the prices should be the same, but if it's an expensive item, I'd check first.

Re: coupon transfer question

"Bon nicht übertragbar" means coupon not transferable, which I would understand to mean that it can't be used by anyone else.

Re: WANTED: Fust coupon 10%

If you want to save money, you should look at the set you want to buy on www.toppreise.ch then purchase it from one or two of the on-line retailers.

Fust is one of the more expensive retailers (even by CH standards).

If installation is needed or you do not feel that you are capable of doing it, you can find a local plumber who should be able to do it for not too much money (assuming the connections are already there).

Re: WANTED: Fust coupon 10%

If you do buy from Fust be prepared for their tricks.... i was told they would give me a 3 year guarantee with my oven purchase - after messing around with the sales terminal 'some sort of technical problem', the final sales contract reduced the price of the oven, but added in a charge for extended warranty. The final value was the same, so i didn't notice and signed without thinking twice.

It turns out that the extended warranty has a minimum of 2 years (on top of the normal 2 year warranty) - the smart bit is the payment i made as part of the purchase only covers the first year and i now have an obligation to pay for another year as a minimum, plus any further years if i forget to cancel in time.

Also misleading was that a part required for fitting I was told would be provided by the installer and not to worry... what they didn't mention was that I would have to pay the installer 80 CHF for the part (a simple metal mounting bracket).

I always buy such stuff from https://www.nettoshop.ch/

Unless I do not need the 56cm wide appliances to fit my kitchen, the 60 cm wide appliances in Germany are much cheaper.

Re: WANTED: Fust coupon 10%

Thank you for sharing your experience. I will be careful.

I really appreciate all the help and advice everyone is sharing.

I miss shopping where the retailers are held more accountable.

People often get annoyed at me since i insist on reading papers before i sign them.

Why would i trust people i only know for 15 minutes?

The appliance manufacturers give huge discounts to resellers so it really does make sense to shop around.

Unfortunately, much of what you sign is wrapped up in the standard trading terms of the company, which is indeed mentioned on the contract. However, the standard trading terms often run to many pages and have you ever seen anyone in a shop demand a copy and stand there reading it ?

Actually on that basis Fust were not bad. A nearly 5k list price oven was 2.5k with FUST and a couple of hundred cheaper with nettoshop. I was happy to pay the extra for the convenience of ordering the oven and microwave together and knowing the ever-visible and trustworthy FUST installation team would turn up and install both without me having any worries.

The fact that I had to reinstall the microwave myself because they mounted it too low above the oven and the glass door was scratching when opened was not expected....

I had a very negative experience with the installation by Fust. The installer could not be bothered to read the manual and he made mistakes and damaged cabinets. They had to send someone back to fix his work but the damage was done to the cabinets. Fust responded by saying the saying the first installer was not a "profi monteur". Never again.

Re: WANTED: Fust coupon 10%

Thanks everyone.

So far my experience has been strange. I contacted local shops, told them the exact model of miele I wanted to buy, 2 came back to me with offers for other models/brands.

toppriese the cheapest is El Shop (when delivered and installation is added in).

With the coupon from Fust, Fust becomes the cheapest by 80chf. I thought since it was a chain I might have better luck if any problems arise. Especially with their 30 day exchange period (but maybe that is if the item is unused)

After reading all your input it seems that Fust like many other older swiss companies don't care about and are not fighting for their reputation.

Have you considered Preisig in Dubendorf ? No idea about them really, but they advertise on the local TV - maybe worth checking them out. I would have done if I had known about them at the time.

Re: WANTED: Fust coupon 10%

Contact the manufacturer of the machine you want, ask who their dedicated dealer is in your area. It will likely be a small local-ish firm. Ask for an offer from them for the machines and installation.

I did that... and the small local firm offered a 40% discount off list price (note LP is not necessarily the Fust price) without even asking, making their quote a better deal than what Fust offered.

YMMV, you might need to ask for discount possibilities. But worth the few minutes of your time.

---

I've not been happy with my last interaction with Fust, so haven't bought any large appliances from them lately. However, if you are set on buying from them, why not be a tad cheeky and simply ask for the 10% discount. Tell them it's what you'd need to consider the sale. Who knows... you just might get it at the manager's discretion. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

It's always the people who read the least who get the most surprises

And if it has become a habit, you're much more familiar with such rules and can quickly go thru the papers since a lot is general or "irrelevant" stuff.

Also you can choose to not do it, but then add things to the receipt or contract and have them sign it.

And no i don't do this when buying a deep fryer of 150,- at mediamarkt, but i f something includes installation i want to know what the additional costs can be before i get charged 75,- for them going up 3 stairs or wanting 80,- for a ring.
