spirals of plastic - for craft project

Please, could anyone suggest a place in Switzerland where I could buy something like this?
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32271074016.html
Spiral plastic cords.

The ones in the image are specifically for protecting cables of electronic devices, and these ones glow in the dark. I don't need either of those attributes, particularly. As we'd like to use the spirals for a craft project, I'd be happy for any suggestions from any field.

We're looking for the functionality of the cord springing back into shape, and being bendable. We'd like to be able to just toss them in the washing-machine, to clean and re-use. Also, those in the image seem to be smooth, so they wouldn't cut or pinch little fingers, nor tear fabric. (Others I've seen, more heavy-duty, are for holding together larger bundles of electrical cords, and they seem to be of a harder plastic and with sharp edges.)

I'd like to see the items so ideally a real store, but an online shop would do if within Switzerland.

Thanks very much.

Re: spirals of plastic - for craft project

What you're looking for is probably called "SpiralKabelSchlauch" or just "KabelSchlauch" as a less specific term.

Personally I'd visit a physical shop with office supplies, "Bürobedarf", and enquire what they have or can order as a first step.

I guess you're looking for an inexpensive seller. Officeworld comes to mind, or Mediamarkt. conrad.ch for an online source (also check conrad.de for price differences once the product's nailed down). digitec.ch, and Amazon of course. A "Papeterie" may be of (limited) help as well but they rarely do inexpensive.

Aliexpress ships to Switzerland. Often even for free.

AFAIK aliexpress is a platform for sellers, like Amazon Marketplace. Whether they ship to CH is probably up to the individual seller. And usually free shipping is predicted to take 30-60 days or thereabouts.

I've yet to find a seller on aliexpress that won't ship to switzerland, but as said you have to wait a loooooooooong time for delivery, they won't even open a case until (iirc) after 50 days of order, I've had to wait upto 3 months for delivery, of course you can pay silly money for dhl etc delivery which kinda defeats the reason for using them.

Some of the industrial items do take a long time but for other things, they seem to be an improvement and some stuff takes just over a week to arrive from ordering - but of course there's no guarantee.

They do offer fed ex type deliveries too.

Re: spirals of plastic - for craft project

For stuff like this i use wish .com .. the same item is on there, various options for qty, colour and shipping costs from 4chf..

Generally stuff comes in 2 weeks. and if it hasn't arrived in 3-4 weeks, they just refunded it and you keep the thing if / when it does arrive.

They were talking about Wish a couple of days ago on the radio - shipping knives illegally to teenagers (paid with a child-only pre-paid debit card).

Re: spirals of plastic - for craft project

You can get stuff like that in Bauhaus, looks the OP is looking for something narrower, but they might stock that, and in different colours.

Oh I don't image the do any checks whatsoever .. A lot of the stuff is highly questionable, from weapons to fakes to chinese herbal patches that make you lose kilos overnight..

But for me, small ticket throw-away items, it's great.

That's not very eco-friendly

I consider many items throw away with two young girls..

Hair "scrunchies" .. Here they cost a couple of chf each, they lose them after a few days, leave them at school/swimming etc etc..

Pack of 50 from wish cost 2chf .. +2 shipping.

Re: spirals of plastic - for craft project

Careful with ordering playthings from wish or aliexpress.

According to an article in 20min, the Swiss Toys Association claim they have ordered ten "Squishies" and found that 6 contained more damaging substances than legally allowed. Apparently one contained so much that the laboratory personnel got headaches and felt sick after opening the container. Some had already been banned by "bad, bossy, and antidemocratic" EU but are still available online.

Sure, the association has a vested interst in this kind of result. Yet I don't see how they could fabricate this kind of
result. And before you ask, the authorities have no say when you order directly.

This may similarly apply to plastics in general.

Even at Ikea. But the one from mi.anon does not bounce. And I think that's the main demand of OP.
