where can I get a battery for my old Lenovo Thinkpad T430S

Bought the laptop in 2013, still quite powerful. but it's annoying that the battery has died.

Anyone sells a battery?

Yeah, loads of people, from Amazon to Walmart and all levels in between. https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=+Le...+T430S+battery

Not cheap, mind.

Alternatively you could just try and prise the old one apart - mostly these, on models that age, are simply made up from standard sized batteries soldered in sequence, so if you're careful enough and have some skill with a soldering iron it's often ossible to just switch out the old ones with some new NiMH ones or similar.

Just get it from aliexpress or ebay starting below 30 CHF.
I did the same 3 years ago, got the cheapest compatible battery from a top rated seller and had no problems with it (that T430s with working battery is still in use by my father to this day).

I suggest aliexpress too. Do check what the seller has in offer though (if he sells batteries or laptop parts it's ok) and do check the reviews. I bought a lot of electronic parts from aliexpress, including laptop batteries. The one I took for $40 for my six years old macbook still works as new after three years!!

yup. aliexpress is good. go for a good rated one and read the reviews from russians. they usually bother to break out diagnostic equipment to really test products - there are a lot of fakes at the low end of the market so don't buy cheapest unless you know what you are doing.

i have an x230 from a similar era and the performance is great - actually the same as subsequent intel generations as they went to a lower power model which extended battery standby/low performance use. when i tested against my laptop several years newer on the then newest cpu family, the performance was comparable.

Thanks guys, I am sorry I forgot my post after posting it...
Could anyone please help me choose one from the website you mentioned? I never used it and am not used to their ecosystem... I generally tend to buy from the official shop if possible or directly from Amazon/Galaxus and rarely buy from 3rd party.
