London to Zurich: looking for someone to transport a chair in March-April

Hello,

Looking for someone to bring a chair from London to ZH between in March - early April. It measures 1.42 cubic metres (legs can't be removed, hence the size).

In case you're relocating or driving back and have space in your car/van, please let me know. The chair will have to be picked up from central London.

Needless to say I'll pay for the service.

Thanks and happy Friday!

I used this guy for moving furniture before. He mentioned that he does a trip to Britain once a month for people moving there. He was professional and nice:

Furniture is first on the pull-down list when you ask for a quote.

Still it doesn't hurt for him to ask here. If someone is doing the trip anyway and has the space, both parties win as it it'll be cheaper and the driver that's making the trip anyway makes enough cash to probably cover all his roadway Snack expendatures.

Thank you for the recommendation.

Shiply won't do it. Already asked their central department weeks ago.

Now waiting for the "whitemanvan" to come back with a quote.

Not true. I've made inquiries before posting here, trust me. It's not about the price. Like Arthur says - worth asking on EF if anyone wants to split the cost, while they are doing their own move or make some money if they're driving back.

Did they say why? Just wondering as I've just had a quote from them to ship something much bigger.

They said it's because it's actually much to small! So first their search didn't yield anything and then I rang to get a response and that's what they said. It would have been a different story if I were shipping a couch.

Re: London to Zurich: looking for someone to transport a chair in March-April

I actually might be making the trip from Scotland to Switzerland in March or April in a van to pick up some of my personal belongings which are in storage. I usually stop over in London since it's such a long trip.

If you PM me we can discuss the details.

Argh... Just the thought of chicken poop is making me ill. It sure is one powerful smell and I'd certainly wouldn't mind having the brand new chair covered in it

porsch: PM on the way. tnx!
