Seeking English speaking nanny in Zurich

Hello,

Iím seeking an English speaking part-time nanny for my 3 year old son.

Monday to Wednesday evenings and some light house cleaning.

Must know how to cook, have excellent references and experience. Would suit a student looking for a bit of extra work alongside studies. Live in or live out.

Well how can you expect a student to know how to cook, have excellent references and experience. Looking for a cheapie eh!And a nanny is not a house cleaner!

Not "looking for a cheapie" here and I'm offended by your presumptuous comment. Personally, I was babysitting by age 10 and when I say I'd like some references, these could also be character references, which are anyways the most important. If you cannot cook basic meals (spaghetti?), do light housecleaning and watch after a child responsibly by age 18, then you're not an adult in my book. Unfortunately today I see lots of spoiled kids around who turn 18 and don't know how to do any of these basic things... so that's why I request them here to avoid any doubt. By the way, 3-year olds don't exactly need or ask for "gourmet" meals... give me a break.

I'm 42 and struggle with this with my own child! (also around 3 years)

I think, perhaps, this is the wrong forum for searching for these types of services, especially with a seemingly 'open' brief. While I haven't used the service before, a few colleagues have found nannies using 'babysitting 24' (That way you can also 'shop around) I do believe, however, that part time nannies are like chicken teeth. Perhaps an au pair? (If you get a Swiss one, you may be able to get a part time one. A friend did this. Apparently the upside for them is that they can additional English experience with expat families)

But what about a "please" or a "thank you". Would you perhaps receive a more positive response? After all, these small words cost nothing and mean much
