Wonderful handyman in Zürich!

Just as we were about to lose hope we found that elusive treasure: wonderful handyman in Zürich!
After years of dealing with extortionately expensive, arrogant, weird, unreliable, incapable of basic tasks and yes, once - very dishonest - people, we were about to lose faith in humanity. We even posted a cry for help here a week ago - begging for someone to assist with assembly of a digital piano stand. We wrote to dozens of music shops, contacted several handymen advertised elsewhere - received only two replies: one from a bloke who, after we agreed to his rates and timing and gave him our address, stopped communicating; another from a chap who wanted 150.- an hour.

Receiving no responses at all to our ad on the forum here, we made the last desperate attempt to trawl the internet - and struck gold! There was this little website 'Call the Man - Markus Huber'. Not feeling particularly optimistic, we filled the contact form on the website. The response was quick: Markus was available on these days at these time-slots, this is his hourly rate (70.-). Within minutes, we booked the slot and received confirmation. Still not daring to hope, we waited with bated breath. Markus arrived right on time, carrying his toolbox, broad smile and excellent English.

He finished the job that the music shop said would require two men and two hours in one hour. In that time he not only assembled the piano stand, he connected all the wires and explained to us all the basic functions. He cleaned up and folded away the mountain of packaging neatly. He declined cash and will send us a proper invoice (!). Magic!

We were lost for words. We are having Markus back soon to install ceiling lights, put up some paintings and do tons of other stuff we thought would never get done.
Seeing that requests for handymen pop up here regularly, we want to share this unique find!

Markus is Swiss, a former aerospace engineer, who now devotes his life to his art (painting, sculpture, installations) and makes some money on the side offering his multiple skills as a handyman. There is nothing he cannot do, and he is a perfect gentleman. Impeccable manners, charm, honesty. His wife runs the admin side and is very efficient and helpful.

Here are his contact details:

CALL THE MAN: Markus Huber

++41 77 485 4032

If there is an ideal handyman, Markus is it! We can't recommend him highly enough!
