Re: Help with moving out/in

You might want to add some info, like if you have your own van for example. And make sure you have the correct keywords in your title and posting and it will pop up when people search for help.

Yes, thank you.

So, I cannot provide truck or tools, just my legs and arms

People sometimes have trucks coming and just need someone to unpack it, or pack, or similar. I have don this job many times.

Also, I can see online, the prices if you do this job with help of agency is quite high. I am offering more reasonable hourly price for my work.

Same goes for garden work, or cleaning around the house or this kind of jobs. I would appreciate a lot if you can suggest me to your friends, if you know anyone needing help. If I may, I would leave my number here as well:

You are welcome to send me pm, I can give phone number.

I speak German quite well.

Thank you all

PS: Edited, I removed line with my phone. I apologize for this.

Re: Help with moving out/in

Um, you do realise that as a Croatian you're not allowed to work here in this capacity? There are conditions applied.

"Croatian citizens studying in Switzerland who wish to take up salaried employment alongside their studies may do so but restrictions will nevertheless apply. Employment alongside one’s studies is permissible as long as it does not exceed 15 hours per week as specified in Art. 38 of the ASEO. Special rules apply for students doing mandatory traineeships as well as for doctoral students."

https://www.sem.admin.ch/dam/data/se...kroatien-e.pdf

You cannot freelance like this, it's not allowed.

What capacity? I barely work 30 hours a month including my restaurant job.

And (since I am not familiar with this), where does it say I cannot freelance like this?

For example this:

Croatian citizens studying in Switzerland who wish to take up salaried employment alongside their studies may do so but restrictions will nevertheless apply.

What you are offering is not a salaried employment

Ok, so where does is it specified that I cannot do job like this one? I mean, it doesn't really matter anymore. People will hardly ask myself considering this conversation anyway.

You need a work permit which has to be applied for by your Swiss employer. I assume you're at ETHZ - see their webpage.

I am actually at Uni, but probably it's a same thing.

You need job permit to help people to move? So if a neighbor asks you to help (theoretically, of course) and you do it for money, you need permit by University, Kanton? Strange...

I mean, every now and then I see Facebook/Forum posts people asking for 1-2 hours help, I wonder if they know it's not allowed...

What you're not understanding is you can't work for yourself. You must have a salaried job with a Swiss employer. What you're offering is self-employment and is not allowed for non-EU national students. Find a salaried job, check if your uni has a job website, most do.

Because you are only allowed salaried employ, work with a contract, paying social security, taxes and things like that.

People can ask, it is just that you are unfortunately for you not allowed to do/offer that

They most likely do. The point is not to get caught.

But if you do get caught, it can get nasty. And also in the line of help you're offering the chances of having an accident are "good" and that's when it all gets really messy.

Nasty as in that I would be surprised if he/she would be allowed to stay in the country.

Messy as in that the insurance will refuse to pay for care needed after such incident.

Repeating my advertisement. Probably not a lot of people move during winter, but if anyone needs some help maybe with delivery (I don't owe truck or drive, but can be help to carry or such things) I am here. Different sometimes weekdays, sometimes weekends.
