Very long-standing member seeking a winter contract - languages & more

Dear All, may I crave your help?

As the last couple of winters have been very lean for a variety of reasons beyond my control, I'm looking for some contract-style work this coming winter to try and achieve a bit of financial stability. I'm available for a minimum of 3-5 (or even 6) months from November to March/April, preferably 50-60% but I'm open to suggestion. I live in Laax, and something based on working from home at least some of the week would be ideal, but I'm flexible and I am almost always in the Zurich area on Mondays. Something that can recur every winter would be better still

Given my background as a native English speaker with C2 German, both spoken and written, and functional (by a professional linguist's standards) Dutch, French and Romansch, as well as a tourist level smattering of Italian and very elderly O Level Spanish, something to do with languages would be an obvious choice, but I'm open to all sorts!

- I've been a professional translator (German, Dutch & French to English) and interpreter (German-English-German) for the last 26 years - do you have a large language project coming up? Or ongoing smaller jobs for which you'd like someone available, possibly on retainer? A year-round staff role based on working from home/remotely would also be perfectly viable.

- I also do English editing & proof reading, even a bit of copywriting. Do you have an annual report or thesis that needs proof-reading?

- I've lived in Switzerland for nearly 20 years, the first 16 in the Zurich area, and have experience in relocation and destination services. Are you a relocation agent that needs an extra pair of hands on deck?

- With my other hat on, as an experienced sailing instructor I work in the tourist industry in the summer so, unlike most translators, I'm fit to be let loose in customer-facing roles . I also have extensive experience translating tourism materials too. Sadly our local resort seems only to be interested in native German speaking seasonnaires from the large canton to the north who will work practically for beer money alone - maybe you have some other leads?

- I know my way round MS Office (particularly Word), Wordpress (built all my sites myself), discussion forum software/communities - do you need some help?

- I'm self-motivated and organised, and have many many years of experience just getting on with things under my own steam, so general office work & project management, in German and English, would also be a good fit.

- I'm quite handy too - sewing, carpentry etc. - from boat maintenance and 2 major property renovations.

Dear EF, I'd be very grateful for any leads the collective here might have. With a round birthday coming up next year, I fear I'm beginning to hit the age-related CV filing system but I have a lot of experience and versatility to offer.

Thank you!
