Job for English and Italian Speaker - Zurich area

Hi all,

been applying for jobs for the past weeks and months but to no success. I am a qualified teacher and I am pursuing an MBA and a PA course. I can speak and write Engliah and Italian very well, Maltese (mother tongue), can understand spanish quite well, studying German and can understand quite a lot of written French. I have experiences in broadcasting and insurance. The main problem I am finding is the German level required

Anyone knows about any posts available... I would appreciate! Be it full or part time. I would like to live close to Zurich, Winterthur, San Gallen, Zug, Wil, Shaffhausen and those areas.

A big THANK YOU

Re: Job for English and Italian Speaker - Zurich area

Hello, I will be as well looking for a job in Zurich in 2010 (my wife will take a job there). I know it will be hard to find a job without speaking German (I am french , speak english & spanish and just started some german lessons). I would be happy to share some best practises with you if you want. Which MBA are you following? Is there a good one close to Zurich?

Re: Job for English and Italian Speaker - Zurich area

The MBA I am pursuing is by distance learning with Leicester University (UK) and the PA course I am doing is also by correspondence (Cambridge University). I decided to do them by distance learning as so far I have been working full time and could only study at night. If you have the opportunity to do the MBA full-time, I would recommend it though as I found it very tough to cope with job and studies + German classes. this August I will start an intensive German course, since I am looking for a job and have all the time in the world to study (Don't know if I should laugh or cry about it but decided to keep positive for now!!).

I guess that before we learn german at least to a level we can use in an office, our chances if finding a job in German-speaking part of Switzerland are quite limited (unless you have quite some experience).
