Ooh and Pitch Black. Great movie!
+1 for that.

I actually went and bought the trilogy.
Pitch Black, The story between the end of pitch black and Chronicles of Riddick (animated) and Chronicles of Riddick.

Pretty cool.

Pitch Black sounded familiar, but only after ashishshah mentioned Chronicles of Riddick, I actually understood what you were talking about.I quite enjoyed that one, even with the infamous Vin Diesel. I really can't stand the guy He has the acting skills of Cameron Diaz.

looooool Yeah, sorry about that Though this girl also likes movies with some eye candy, Van Diesel does not fit in that category, therefore it is impossible to target the "f@ck the story, I'm here to see actor X get half naked" mode

FWIW, I am really proud of you.

BTW, spent the rainy weekend playing Titan Quest & the expansion Immortal Throne. Good games...but they need a LOT of time.

I actually tried AOE5 this weekend. Started playing Saturday around 13h00. At 00:30 I noticed it was dark outside... Game is actually fun, though quite different from the 3

The point is actually with movies like these...to forget the eye candy and follow the movie.
These were quite good actually compared to some other cr@p I saw.
Case in Point : Lost in Space (Film) !!!

Yep, that's why I said "I quite enjoyed that one, even with the infamous Vin Diesel." It succeeded in making the story good enough for me to ignore the abs...

Never saw Lost in Space. Will remember to keep away from it!

*oh man, why do I have to work???? I wanna go home watch movies!*

Re: How to annoy a nerd

I finally got Crysis Warhead to work! Very impressed. Much better than Crysis 2 in visuals. Controls were definitely greatly improved in 2 though.

I heard it was better than Crysis.
Never got around to trying it though since it was during this that time I got the xbox. So...

And TBH, I didn't like crysis that much.

Not going to let myslef play it again unless on exceedingly long journey or stuck in some hell hole.

They really did a great job (crysis/warhead) on the jungle visuals and destructable/interactive world. Crysis 2 looked nice, but felt too much like a COD FPS.

It isn't anything special, although the 2nd game uses the Nanosuit well for a little originality. It's really just for bragging rights about processing power . I will see how game play continues for Warhead. For now, I'm still just killing Koreans.

Agreed. It was a nice concept.
But what got me was the hardware requirements on the game.
And even with a monster gaming PC...it was hard to get the best performance out of it without tweaking around.
While at the same time, there were other games which looked nice too but didn't have such high demands for HW.
