And its strange when cosplay automatically suggests either hot chicks or overweight dudes. I mean, normal looking dudes do cosplay too...don't they ?
Yes they do. As do non-hot looking girls. But I guess those ones are not so interesting for internet memes...

I tell you, there is nothing more strange than having breakfast between an average looking Stormtrooper and Princess Luna, while some guy from Gundam Wing asks you for the way to the exibition hall...

They keep making fun of cosplay, but then they make threads asking who is dressing up for an event...

Hmmm, I see what you mean there, the absinthe drinking scene is very well done, lots of erotic suggestions

Re: How to annoy a nerd

Watched Star Trek again last night but this time on BluRay.
The difference in the level of detail is staggering.

This actually brought me to a very painful (and potentially expensive) realization
that I'm gonna have to switch (re-buy) a lot of movies which deserve to be watched only on BluRay.

I have issues with less than 1080 resolution now. Can spot it from a mile away.

I didn't know they had Star Trek in HD--not that I'm a trekkie, but impressed that they upgraded.

My Planet Earth DVD set was the toughest (personally/financially) one to replace in Bluray--such a waste, but soo worth it!

Re: How to annoy a nerd

Actually being a technophile, what really pisses me off is when I'm gaming at higher than 1080 resolution, and then the story cinematics are only done at 1080.

Really sucks when you have a sick gaming rig, and want to appreciate the most intentense rendered animations, yet they come up all pixelly.

It's very sad that when I look to the main page, the first thing in my head was "oh look! A hydra handler! Damn, those models are from the 90's!"

How is that sad ? The only thing that shows is that you are a nerd and that you have a keen eye.

You cannot imagine the number of times I jumped up from my seat
while I was playing LOTR:Battle for Middle Earth 1 & LOTR:BFME 2...
...saying things like "wooooaaaaaahhhh, thats Thranduil....or thats Gloin...or that's the line from when...."

Re: How to annoy a nerd

I was just absent mindedly reading a boring construction magazine when out of a sudden an image of Zelda sneaks in. After I passed the “WTF” mode, I actually noticed Ashishshah’s avatar on one of the other photos… ^^

EDIT: AH shoot! Quality of attchments is too low. I'll try to upload it to my site when at home.
