I dont think men really care what a woman sounds like or even if she speaks at all, as long as its a woman. That is good enough for them!

Well only a man could answer you regarding the attractiveness of the female voice.
Personally I cringe when I listen to a high pitched strident voice, regardless of gender.

A low pitched voice with lilt and melody and a pleasant accent like the British one or the one in the southern part of the US or the accent around Toulouse, is so much nicer to listen to.

I think voice plays an important part in credibility when addressing a crowd for instance.

I've met a fellow EFer from London the other day..and I was quite surprised, when she ordered a Bear (as in...bear, the animal)....upon asking her, why she wanted a bear

, she insisted, that it's a drink....that's when I began to understand. She meant beer
