Re: Exorcist in Zurich?

You may be out of luck, Tom.

It seems that in Exorcism, as in IT and the hard sciences, Switzerland lacks kompetente Fachleute...

Re: Exorcist in Zurich?

I am not 100% sure about this, but I thought an exorcism was specifically to drive an "evil spirit" or demon out of a person who has been possessed.

To drive a "ghost" from a house or area that it inhabits is a different process and can be done with religious or non-religious ways.

Burn sage, or watch Scooby Doo or Supernatural reruns...

fduvall ;-)

I think there is a ghost in my house.

Does anyone know whether there is an Exorcist in Zurich who will get rid of it for me?

Personal recommendations are better.

I did try google first but to no avail.

I don't want this thread to turn into a discussion on whether ghosts exist or not, I just want contact details for an exorcist.

Thanks

Why did this get moved into jokes and funnies when other equally unproven nonsense such as homeopathic medicine requests don't?

If you can prove to me that you're being serious, I'd be happy to move it back.
Move it back? Now who's being silly?

(I don't want to waste any more of your time, Castro).

But, please can you do the same with any other pseudo-science, mumbo-jumbo threads and move them into off-topic?

And please no more PMs recommending exorcists. Are you people for real?

Why did this get moved ?
Maybe it's the poltergeist? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poltergeist Renowned medium, Derek Acorah visited Manning's home, stating that he was able to communicate with the spirit, and that it was called "Jim" and had died from a heart attack at the age of 58 around 1900. Acorah then performed an exorcism ceremony, after which the paranormal activity ceased.

Sympathies: I have seen a ghost in Italy, she died in 1921. She stopped visiting the bedroom when her daughter died in 2007 in Australia

Yes, it was a true story, though Linda Blair and the spinning head were embellishments for the theatre....
I think there were plenty more "truths" that were stretched for the book and film.

@OP, what is actually happening at the house?

Re: Exorcist in Zurich?

kindly request the thread get moved back to an area that is less insulting to those of us who take these things seriously.

To the OP
I've lived in 3 separate houses with ghosts for a combined total of 6 years. So I empathise with you a great deal. An exorcism may be a waste of your time and/or money though. Tell us something about your home (age, recent renovations, exposed wiring, etc) and about some of the symptoms that you are experiencing with your haunting (voices, touches, calling your name, scratching, pushing, knocking things over, shadows, etc).

Re: Exorcist in Zurich?

To rid your house of ghosts is very simple. Just burn it to the ground. This is know in Hebrew as Chorum - the irrevocably giving over of something to God. Presumably at that point it becomes his problem.

I'm surprised no-one mentioned it so far, but... who are you going to call?

silly me, but I thought that for catholics exorcism is only when a person is possesed.
I went out with a spiritual possessor once. Turned out she was only with me for my body.

Do you know what happens if you don't pay your exorcist?

You'll be reposessed.

Exorcist in Zurich?
Obviously not.

I'm seriously questioning the sanity of these people on EF.

Listen you lot - you're watching too many horror films. It's not real, okay.

Have you ever wondered why all the 'ghosts' haunt old, creaky houses?

People still die in terrible ways in modern buildings but you don't see ghosts in these, do you?

It's the mind playing tricks.

Re: Exorcist in Zurich?

I once bought an exorcist book.

It was just full of empty lined pages.

Sorry, couldn't find me coat. And it's nippy out.
