Re: Airplane Takeoff Question

I wonder at what point the flight deck decided "OK, there's only one way out of this and that's up."

Kudos to the guy that filmed it, though.

"piss you pants"?

you big wuss!

dude, it's a plane taking off in the rain. hardly something to cry over!

next poll: what do you do in a thunderstorm:

1. piss your pants
2. hide under the table
3. cry under your duvet

I'm not afraid of thunderstorms, but I choose all of the above! I HATE flying and a take off like this could well finish me off.

You're a mod...first of all, you need a life in order to get some minutes back.

+1 - the guy clearly didn't know about the rules regarding use of electronic equipment during landing and take off.

Re: Airplane Takeoff Question

Where is the "That looks like fun can we go round and do it again" result?

Seriously those guys know what they are doing, it looks a lot more worrying that it really is, the wings always have a lot of play in them and are designed that way, and once a jumbo is on rotate it goes up and quick.

(I have landed in worse conditions in PE...)

LiB has those broad shoulders ya know, what if he got trapped in that airline seat?

How would you feel then?

huh?

I want you all to go away and think about this, and then come back to me when you've calmed down.

Nothing at all wrong with Aeroflot - the planes are way nicer than Swiss - but they are the only Russian airline I'd choose to fly with!

I think they're the only ones allowed to fly outside of Russian airspace, aren't they..?

Re: Airplane Takeoff Question

I would momentarily look up from my copy of the National Enquirer and eventually return to the article about the lady with the three breasts.
