One of my first days working in a butchers, I was sent to the hardware shop for a long weight.

I think they used the same advert when looking for moderators on here

Long weights, blue smoke, nutherovers. Been there, done that. The stores did have left hand drillbits and sticky grease though, which I found surprising, initially.

But no left-handed screwdrivers or buckets of elbow grease, I fancy.

Not in the UK style shop I was in, but I do remember something about hammers, could have been light hammers, and endless jokes about half holes. Tis a while now, so I've mostly forgotten them.

I bought a set of left-hand drill bits recently.

You have to loudly cackle and then it will turn. However, as any Swiss broom owner, worth their salt, will tell you, the Swiss broom works/turns better with half a cackle finished off with a short yodel. It'll fly like a dream - but never after 10pm
