Did the website have to use the 'more than' (">") symbol to denote a price.
Hate to say it, but I wondered why he needed to say that the taxi ride from Zurich to Interlaken costs 'more than' EUR250. |

That is a pretty bad one. I thought of some ways he could have made it worse: - Use comic sans MS as the font. There are still many people out there who think this is a cool font to use on the web.
- Use a tiled picture as a backdrop.
- Render the whole thing as a graphic - so you end up with jagged edges around all the text from the jpeg artifacting.
Oh and the flashing text was a really nice touch too!
I'm also find the product offering a little strange: Bicycle rental - LAUNDRY. What have those two things to do with each other?

I wonder what the actual experience of using this company would be like, or what the inside of their buses and taxis look like?

| | | | | This one always used to hurt my eyes when I was back in Australia, and still does. Look a graphic heading and there is even comic sans MS for the date! http://www.salesmart.com.au/dvdrw/dvd_recorders/
Funniest thing is that he always spams the aus.dvd newsgroups and cops heaps for the webpage. His response is always, "Its great and it gets sales!"

Looks like somebody has stepped up to the challenge and created a site based on the comments in this thread http://www.borat.tv/ |

Though it could set a new marketing trend by attracting attention through deliberately creating the worst web-site!

do you think they misspelt the "reproting" meta tag on that page? |

They were probably cringing and complaining as their bosses forced them to produce that kind of work. Spoof sites have been also used in the past by companies for marketing. Does anyone remember "super greg"? Apparently Addidas was behind this, I found an old mirror here: http://www.eecs.umich.edu/~andrewdn/...supergreg.html
Unfortunately the videos of him doing DJ work are gone |
