Chinglish

I lived in South E. Asia for 14 years and often came across stuff like this.

Check this site out. It's hilarious!

Copy the URL to which you wish to link, highlight the phrase you want to make into a link, click on the little world with a paper clip on it (in the middle of your reply box, at the top), and a link is born!

Re: Chinglish

While on holiday recently, I purchased a product and was delighted to find the attached instruction sheet inside the packaging. I think the information printed in Chinese characters on the reverse of this sheet would have been marginally more useful.

Can anyone guess what the product was?

A plastic bag ?
Pretty much. rooda78 got it. It's a sealable, waterproof bag for cameras so you can take them diving -- they claim waterproofness (or waterproofosity) to 20 metres. To my surprise, it didn't leak at 22 m. Only problem is, past 3 or 4 metres the pressure is such that the camera lens couldn't extend when the camera was switched on -- it bumped into the (usually easily yielding) plastic and retracted again, every time.

Anyway, I love the obscure references in the instructions to phones and other devices, and to "perturbations".
