When I lived in Germany, I knew a very nice girl called Iris Ficker... How can anyone say that name without wanting to giggle? God, I do hope she is not here on the forum...

Went to school with a girl called Cherry Plant and another one called Penny Clap.
Penny was unfortunate in that she came from a small village called Haseley Knob, so she was forever known as Clap from Knob!!! Gutted!!!!!!

Is it true that, Delores means period pains in Spanish? So I was told, atleast.
Actually Dolores, with 'o' instead of 'e', means pain in the plural!

Re: 'Most unfortunate names'

I've never really believed the Wayne King and Wayne Kerrs (would any parent be that daft?) but there was definitely a Wayne Goff at my school. Big skinhead ****er though so I never made the joke.

My favourite local one is an American - Pat McCollum.

I went through school with a good friend Michael Hunt and it wasn't until we saw the Porky's movies (all underage!!) that we started calling him Mike .......
I went to school in the UK with someone called Micahel Hunt too.
Strange that it appeared in Porky's. I thought the C word was British until I saw Sharon Stone using it in the movie Casino.

I had a Law lecturer called Richard Head.

Then I had a boss called Stephen Hite. His external email address was shite@___.com

That would explain why they said that only "die ganz Bösen" would be allowed to schwing at the big events
