| | Fighting a speeding ticket
I just received a fine for speeding.
I was texting at the time and didn't see the camera. It's so unfair. If I contact my mobile provider, will they be able to send me the time of my SMS as proof that it wasn't my fault?
Besides, I was only doing 125 MPH (like the train ) in a 120 zone, so it wasn't that bad.
My dad is a former tank driver, and I have special driving skills in my genes.
Where should I send my letter of protest, and how much compensation am I likely to receive?

Ah it was you then! I was overtaking your car when I saw you texting - I was just doing my makeup using the rear view mirror and this sight made me drop my mascara into the coffee cup I was holding between my legs. Really, some drivers!

The police can never expect that you pay attention to both your mobile phone and the speed limit.
My advice is to write a letter and demand a telephone with voice to text capabilities so that you can pay attention to the traffic.

You should join the "Verkehrsclub der Schweiz" - http://www.verkehrsclub.ch/ sorry, not in English..., - their expert lawyers will surely help you better than some guys on an anonymous forum.

I suggest you wear a Mickey Mouse mask when driving; makes it hard for the cameras to identify you. Also get a 12v adaptor for your laptop so you can use both hands for writing SMSs; it is quicker & you will have more time to study the road between SMSs.

Surely you mean demand speed indicators that send you an SMS to your mobile phone as you approach them? After all one cannot be expected to use the phone and watch the road - one must prioritise.

Remember, speed kills and I personally find it disgusting that you don't consider the various suicide-intent people on the roads, with your poultry 125mph. I trust you were at least weaving?

I did once crochet a nice doily on a drive from Basel to Milan.

So we know that you know that this is a joke...

I have tried to make an "early phase Sutter", but somehow has the EF software changed. It used to be impossible to type twat, even as part of "wristwatch". Today, this seems completely acceptable again, but therefore is the number of smileys limited to eight. As I already quote one, only seven! |
