There was this language and spelling game on tv, Flanders against Netherlands. Usually, the Flemish always win. | | | | |
10 voor taal? probably the only funny spelling show ever haha

Het goede aan de zaak is dat ik het woord nu correct kan schrijven. Een grote vogel voor een grote natie. Belgie is ook het enige land , waar het niemand verrast een rosa bier te zien. Is alles goed bedoeld, hoor.
Good thing about the bird: I will now write it correctly. Big bird for big nation... And Belgium is anyway the only country where nobody is surprised to see a pink beer. I mean it all well ;-)

Love it when she says " gchallo gchollander | | | | | Well, not kidding: Me in the kitchen, a friend just around the corner, same room, in the sofa. We are talking. Dutch. Then, for some reason, I just say "chchchchchchc" (dutch long "gggggggggggg"). The other actually answered "Denk ik niet" (I don't think so).
I had to laugh to long to ask what he had understood.
Obviously, chchchchchch means something in Dutch.
For fun, try this in dutch (you just need a bar tender balled Guus), sounds soft in Flemish but really harsh with holland accent:
Guus, een groot glas Grolsch graag!
Guus, a larg glas Grolsch beer please!

You say Big Bird, i think of Sesame Street..
Big Bird in Uk looks like this :
While his camp relative in holland looks like this :
Only difference is, we call him Pino and he is blue |

It would be good to visit http://www.zwitserlandforum.nl/ or the facebook-group 'Nederlanders in Zwitserland'.
These websites are full of Dutchmen who are willing to meet in Switzerland
Goodluck !

I found a few new ones " Omer 8%" and " Steenezel 12% " .. yum.. no dutch beer will ever get that close to be good.
Surely you Dutch have something going also.. cheese was it? |
