Re: Useful German for a new kid in school

Actually kids follow what other kids do,so I dont feel that they should know few words to express.Because my son 4.5 yrs went to school without any german knowledge other than words listened from german tv cartoons. After a week he could convey to kids what he want to do and now after 3 months he talks with kids only in german.
Only parents have the tension that will also ease after a week or so.
All the best

This is what I have frequently seen in various parts of the world, with the children who enter my classroom without being able to speak English. They invariably adapt faster, learn faster and integrate faster, than we adults.
