Demotivation : what to do

Is there anything you can do when you're totally demotivated to continue to learn a foreign language ?

Thanks.

Not only the nice pretty girls speak the language, why not to give a chance to not so pretty ones. Kill two birds with one stone - keep on learning the language and make someone feel well

Huh?

I am sorry but I won't go out with a guy that I don't find attractive just for the sake to make him feels good!

I am not on a list of the Sainthood reward!

And beside, what is pretty for you, may be not pretty for me... It is a matter of taste and it is pretty individual...

...oh come on, like you don't have a few sceletons in your closet (we all do), that were put there out of convenience when needs had to be satisfied.

Re: Demotivation : what to do

How about us getting back on topic. Has anyone been in this situation? What did you do?
My first thought was, if you don't 'have' to use the language in everyday life, go for a trip, even a short one, to the country or area of the language that you are learning and try out the bit you already have. Sometimes it is depressing, but sometimes, when you understand just few words, you are very motivated to have another shot.
Sometimes taking a short break isn't a bad thing. You don't forget all you have learned by any means, and listening to an early lesson, or reading one of the first chapters again, can be quite fun.
