DELF exam possible without taking the course?

Hello
I was tested at the migros club for my french level and it was B1. I started to take a course in Lausanne for level BI and I found it quite easy. I have lived in switzerland french part for 5 years so especially my oral level is high (the grammar is more of a pain!)At the end I would have applied to take the Delph exam. Because of a family situation I had to stop the course. Things are better now and I am wondering:

Is there a place in Vaud or Geneva where you can just go ahead and take the Delph exam without doing the 10 week course? Ideally I would just sit the exam - is that possible ? Does anyone know where if that does exist?

Thanks a lot for your help!
Krish

Re: Delph exam possible without course?

I know a couple of people who've taken the exam in Neuchatel, and I'm reasonably sure one of them didn't do a course there first. It's DELF, though, which might help you with searching.

You can also order a book on Amazon.fr to help prepare for it, which will get you used to the format of the questions and what is likely to be asked (search for DELF B1, B2, whichever level you want).

Good luck with the exam.

Unless you need it for work, I wouldn't certify B1 nor B2, actually. I had to and it wasn't that difficult. But if I could have waited, I would have invested more and take C1, instead. I am going to do it anyways, but I think it is better instead of paying for the exam, if nothing is pushing you, pay for the education and then just take the C1.

I passed DELF B2 without a specific course. I bought a book that gives enough information about the exam: the structure and expected level. And it was it. You have a huge advantage as you live in French speaking place! For my work visa I had to get B2, and I did
