Fund OED Spelling Quiz

http://blog.oxforddictionaries.com/m...ling-bee-2011/

The fiendish was a bit challenging and makes me sad that I've become rather reliant on the auto-spelling checkers online and in applications.

Might also be fun for the non-natives since even I had a bit of difficulty hearing the word correctly.

Enjoy.

Re: Fund OED Spelling Quiz

Why would I want to fund an OED spelling quiz?

Good fun, even though on fiendish I had no idea what some of the words were. I thought maybe I'd just misheard them, but even when I saw them written I was still clueless.

Re: Fund OED Spelling Quiz

gah! the fiendish level is frustratingly entertaining.
Thanks for sharing

I thought my spelling was pretty good - but after 3 attempts I keep on getting 12/15, making just one mistake in each word I get wrong.
Off to try again ....

I very nearly put in "bargee" instead of "bhaji", having lived closer to the canal than to the Indian takeaway when I was a kid .

14/15 for me anyway... put too many l's in vermilion.
