Word of the Day

Hi Kids,

A few weeks ago I signed up for a 'word of the day' email from http://www.transparent.com/subscribe/subscription.htm in a pathetic attempt to improve my German proficiency. No spam yet, so it seems ‘cool’ that way. The service actually has few different languages which may be of interest to forum members: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and English for Spanish Speakers.

Below is today’s email.

Enjoy.

Cheers - i'm in too now.

I can't give you any rep for a useful post though, because apparently i've given you some already. I'm just throwing it away!

I am sure you will get some negative reputation if you don't tidy up that copy/paste to include only the interesting bits ;)

if you go to http://dict.leo.org/?lang=de&lp=ende you can simply put in the word you need and get anything up to 100 usable phrases.

And because the word "iPod" and a price are listed in the same paragraph, the post risks being deleted by the Spam-O-Matic. :D

...trying to be authentic...but my world class laziness is surely more at fault. Blah.

I prefer RSS feeds for this kind of stuff but was unable to find one. My google home page has an English word of the day.
