German Language Intensive in Bern

Currently I'm searching for language intensive programs in Bern. I was wondering whether anyone had any recommendations?

Also, one I'm really interested after researching programs is Alemania. Has anyone gone through this one (or know someone who has) and have any comments on it?

THANK YOU!

Re: German Language Intensive in Bern

Is your employer paying or you personally?

I found Berlitz to be very good but very expensive.

Re: German Language Intensive in Bern

This is a difficult one as what you will get in answer is probably lots of people advising you to to either take, or stay away, from their own language providers as most people will have visited one (maybe two) language schools and don't have direct experience of all of them.
Personally I attended Migros Klubschule and was quite happy, my mother-in-law is a language teacher in Bern and she advised to go there, but I have also heard that Berlitz has a very good reputation.
As long as you can document everything, then I am sure that most of the large players in Bern will provide you with a decent level of education which you can prove to any potential employers. Plus it all depends on the individual teachers, your classmates and your own enthusiasm - good luck!

I'm actually a student at uni who has studied German for 2yrs and would like to take a language intensive course while visiting friends in Bern for a month. I'm paying myself.

Berlitz looks really good, but do you know if there are an intensive (i.e. daily) courses that can be taken on a flexible schedule?

That is very true, and some truly amazing advice, thank you!

My only concern about Migros is that I heard it does move at a slower pace, and I'm looking for a program that will really push me since I won't be there long and want to strengthen my speech (hopefully, lol). I will, however, definitely get in touch with the school to learn about their programs and options!
