Wanted - German tutor in Wadensil

Hi all,
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced German tutor in the Wadenswil area? I'm looking to brush up on my a1/a2 level skills. 1-2 hours per week for 3-4 weeks initially.
Thanks

Re: Wanted - German tutor in Wadensil

Thanks for the response. I have checked in the courses offered by the local gemeide. I'm looking to join a class where the common language of the students is English. That way it will make it easier to learn from a common perspective. Using a tutor should help me get a jump start on a class that I plan on taking in Zürich.

BTW, I'm from Chicago.

Hi

An average price for a tutor is CHF 100 per hour. If you hire a tutor through a language school, it may be even more.

So, good luck finding. You may try the free of charge option by placing a search request in your local supermarket. Both Migros and Coop usually have black boards for client's needs.

I doubt very much that the common language at the Gemeinde-run classes in Waedenswil is English although some may speak it as a second language.

Re: Wanted - German tutor in Wadensil

I have been working with a great tutor in Waedenswil who runs her own school. She focuses on expats, as she is a native English speaker (from Australia) but has lived here for many years and speaks both Swiss and High German, depending on your interests/needs. I can send her info if you are interested and still looking. Also, if you've not already looked into it, the Zurich International School also offers German classes, attended mostly by parents at the school (primarily English speaking).

Just along the road in Horgen is the excellent Lernzentrum Turner, run by a very helpful English lady. http://www.lernzentrumturner.ch/. Very flexible German teaching, whatever your level. Both classes and private tuition available.
