Re: Need French Lessons in Neuchâtel

Hi there

Same question for Montreux.
Private lessons are preferred.

Best regards!

Re: Need French Lessons in Neuchâtel

Erm, a little bit of travel but I went to
Ecole Agora S.A.
in Place St. Francois 12 bis
1003 Lausanne,
Tel/Fax: +41 21 3116506
email: info@ecoleagora.ch

It was a small school but maybe they have some branches in those other villages, or maybe you are prepared and have time to travel to Lausanne which isnt that far from Montreaux or from Nuechatel either...
They were the cheapest I could find at only 540 CHF per month, and the teachers were great, you can also do the AFP (french aliance) courses through them however they are more expensive as you have to sit supervised exams etc, and the price is kind of regulated by the Alliance Francaise people and not the school so much.

Anyways, the classes were small between 8-20 people per class, and they did morning 9-12 or afternoon 5-8 classes, 3 hours a day intensive, full immersion...

If you were to catch a train to Lausanne its a 5 minute walk up the (freaking steep) hill, and then you are at the college.

There is the University in Neuchâtel that does a month intensive. I don't think you could find a better course for the money. Contact them here

Re: Need French Lessons in Neuchâtel

I know of a pretty good French teacher in Lausanne. He's a Swiss national with both native French and English.

phone number I have for him is O86 (O2l) 69l. 73. 98

From my experience though, private classes are always most effective when several - member strong.
