Re: Help With German Video! :)

The guy on the right says something like: "Yeah, I can speak a bit of German, but I'm not fluent".

Re: Help With German Video! :)

She say`s I speak a little bit of German. Do you speak German?

Guy on the bike say`s. German no. Do you speak German?

Guy on the right say`s I can speak German, but i`m not fluent (i think that is what he said it is hard to understand him properly).

Guy on the bike say`s. Or maybe German.

Guy on the right say`s That would be good.

Goodluck with learning German

I can, but the grammer in English, and German is not the same, it is back to front.

Re: Help With German Video! :)

Woman - Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch, sprechen Sie Deutsch?
Bike man - Deutsch, nein. Sprichst du Deutsch?
other man - Nur ein oder zwei Worter aber ich bin nicht fliessend.

later

Bike man - oder Deutsch vielleicht.
other man - Ja, das werdet toll!

Thats about what I gather from it, feel free if anyone wants to correct me, my German is by no means great either.

Tony

Re: Help With German Video! :)

Thanks a lot tony.

So after reading along while listening to the video i see what that this is indeed what they say....just kinda altered. In english we tend to run words together or slur them making them "slang" like "whats up" SOUNDS like " wassup" most times, or like i did earlier in this paragraph, "kind of" sounds like "kinda" when spoken most times....

SO

in saying that, could there be "slang" or whatever you want to call it in this video? It sounds TO ME, like this:

Woman - Ich speakein bisdian Deutsch, spechen Sie Deutsch?
Bike man - Deutsch, nein. Sprichst du Deutsch?
other man - Deutsch, nein oder zwei Worter aber ich bin nicht fliessend.

later

Bike man - oder Deutsch vielleicht.
other man - Ja, das werdet toll!

...or SOMETHING like that. Im just wondering(and im pretty sure there is, just need some clarification) if there is slang in these words, or if anyone heres what im hearing?

Like i said, Im LEARNING german, so maybe its all to fast for me right now....

Thanks!

Re: Help With German Video! :)

No slang just High German, the lady cannot speak good German as she can only speak a little bit of German (everyone as to start at the beginning).
