Best German language schools in Lucerne

I just moved to Switzerland after spending two months attending an intensive German language course in Berlin at the Goethe Institute.

I would like to continue learning German here in Lucerne. I'm flexible with course times and money but am seeking recommendations/ advice on language schools in the area.

Currently I'm looking into the following schools- Academia, Alemania, Benedict-Schule, Berlitz, Klubschule Migros.

Has anyone attended any of these schools?
Would you recommend for/ against any of these?
Are there any others you'd recommend?
Any other advice?

All help appreciated.
Thanks a million.

Re: Best German language schools in Lucerne

Hi letmethinkasecond,
welcome to the forum and welcome to Lucerne!
I'm Swiss and live in Luzern. Unfortunately I can't help you with the right choice for a school but if you want to do some language exchange by 'Sprachtandem' German-English I'd be up for it.
Let me know if you are interested.
Cheers,
Dechen

Thank you very much! Actually, my girlfriend is Swiss so I sort of already have a speaking partner for learning German, Dechen.

Thank you though.

Re: Best German language schools in Lucerne

I am currently enrolled at Alemania in Luzern. I have enjoyed the lessons so far. I am just starting to learn German from the very beginning. I think the it is a good school (though i have nothing else to compare it to). My class has 9 people in it so its quite small.

If you want to ask me anything specific let me know, hopefully i can help you

Hello

I really enjoyed my clases. I achieved a2.2 after 5 months study. I felt encouraged to speak and use my German in each class. The teacher was really great and they allowed for us to have free tine to speak in German about things we were interested in such as current events, our culture/homeland etc. The course was only 2 hours a day with daily homework in an activity book. If you are wanting to learn faster do an all day course otherwise this is a good place to start from the beginning and ease your way into learning German.
