Car service - Best German word

What is the best German word to imply that you want your car serviced..? Is "Service" acceptable or "Inspektion" or are these words misleading?

Any help appreciated.

Routine-Inspektion (for, let's say, standard 15,000km service)

I just say it needs the Service, they ask me how many kilometers it has and (a large bill later) that's that..

When you ask for the "Service", lean towards the French pronounciation

I'd try with "Regelmäßige Kontrolle nach fünfzehntausend km".

And how do they respond to that in garages in Dubai?

"Inspektion" is only used in Germany - here it's "Service" (French pron.).

"Ich möchte einen Service machen lassen" or "ich möchte das Auto zum Service bringen" would be correct ways of asking for that.
