| | take the test
its double tricky, because you have to understand a bit of high german
but...check yourself how good you are in schwiizerdütsch and if youre ready for ch passport... http://www.swissinfo.ch/08/flash/spe...weiz/quiz.html |

8 out of 15
Is there an emphasis towards Berner or basler dialect here?

I speak fluent SG AND have a Swiss passport and only got 11 it mixes Bernese with other dialects...it helps if you say the words out loud.

However, I was born a Swiss citizen and Swiss German is my mother tongue :-) There you see the difference between the dialects. Being from Eastern Switzerland, it's close to impossible for me to understand Bern-Dütsch...

Thats the one that got me... but then I don't hang out in Basel and hence have no real connection to the language there... However, Bern I love.
Its cruel really seeing as a Swiss doesn't even get it all right!

I don't even know where I bombed it, the damn quiz just tells me that I'm not worthy of Swiss citizenship and can reaply. Maybe a pointer what to vote on June 1st... |

How many do you need for the CH passport? Not a good score 6, but not a lover of Swiss German

Google only finds it once in the FCB forum though.
I suspect I failed the high water or the muuderä question. Enlighten me, please?
