Looking for private German tuition in Zurich

Hi,

Myself and two colleagues (all researchers at the Paul Scherrer Institute) are looking for a german tutor. We are all beginners and would like to do 1-2 hrs a week in the evening after work in Zurich, ideally somewhere central or at my apartment near the HB.

If you are a tutor or can recommend someone suitable please let me know,

Cheers,

Joe

Re: Looking for private German tuition in Zurich

Hi Joe,

I have been using this service called UNUMONDO (www.unumondo.io) and it's been working perfectly for me. With them you can learn German/ Swiss German in real life and not the ineffective grammar learning methods the others all use. I was able to choose my own language tutor, which was great, because we have same interests. We meet weekly and learn german on day to day life situations. We hang out in different places around town and so far it has been great.
They are a startup company and are trying to help out people that want to learn german but at the same time integrate and feel like they are part of the community.

Just thought it could help you...

Cheers,

Paulo

Re: Looking for private German tuition in Zurich

Hallo Joe,

After a false start with a very unprofessional private teacher, I am now extremely satisfied with the tutor I have been studying with in the past 5 weeks. Fabienne is an extremely educated, patient, competent and enthusiastic tutor, I felt she and I would work very well together from the very first lesson. I am at an advanced level, so I can assure you that Fabienne really knows her business and is very resourceful, too. She is quite good at tailoring the lessons according to the student's need and learning style and she is flexible with timing, always comes on time (which the previous Swiss teacher never did once) and is friendly without being "invasive". I would be happy to pass on her details to you via PM.
I trust you and your colleagues will be as satisfied as I am with her teaching. Good luck: German proves to be a beautiful language for those who stick to it. Ciao.
