Hello everyone,

I'm interested in keeping/improving my conversational English and would offer to speak/teach German or Swiss German, whatever you like, on a regular basis.

Interested?

Re: [English-German]Tandem exchange (Zürich)

Well my English is pretty good but would like to improve on my German conversational skills which are pretty naive?
So I would be interested in such a bargain. Do let me know as to how do we start it?

Cheers

Re: [English-German]Tandem exchange (Zürich)

Yes! Definitely interested. I'm a former English teacher and my German skills are quite good. I lived in Zurich from 2001-2006 and taught English at Hull's School and Inlingua.
I'm looking for someone to talk to in German. Ideally, you'd be able to give me some tips for improving my German and let me know when I'm making mistakes. I'd do the same for you - but in English.
I'm arriving on the 29th of July and would like to set up a tandem conversation partner asap.
Let me know if you're interested.

Dear all,

Thanks for all your responses - I already found a fantastic Tandem Partner... unfortunately, I don't have time for more than one tandem partner.

Have a good time,
Suzanna

Re: [English-German]Tandem exchange (Zürich)

Hello all,

I am a native English speaker from the States also interested in having a tandem English-German exchange. I'm hoping to improve my quite basic High German (preferably with a native German speaker). I live in Rapperswil and am happy to meet anywhere between Rappi and Zurich!

Cheers!

Re: [English-German]Tandem exchange (Zürich)

Hi everybody
With my 48 years I am not very skilled in using the tools of this site...
So if anyone is interested in my proposals, please contact me (maybe explaining, how this stuff works...)

I would like
- to form a group of people who are interested in weekly meetings to talk in English
- or a tandem exchange (my native language is Swiss German, but I lived 2 years in Berlin, and I'm also speaking french, italian and spanish)
Meetings in Zurich city.

Are there any people of my age around?
Itala

Re: [English-German]Tandem exchange (Zürich)

Hey everyone...

I speak native German and English and moving from UK to CH I would like to keep in touch with both sides. Happy to help in either language, but some relaxed/cool meetings would be nice... my idea would be definitely more of a social gathering than a 'lesson'... with people who have similar interests or can share something.... gotta have something to talk about

PS: I'm a little younger... still in my late 20's...

Re: [English-German]Tandem exchange (Zürich)

Thought I would also throw myself out there. I am originally from the States and just moved to Zurich a couple months ago. I have been taking beginner German classes for about 6 weeks, but would like to practice more outside of class. If you are interested, please send me a note directly. Hoping to start asap. Thanks.

Hi there,

I would really be interested in the social gathering you proposed. My English is pretty good but I highly regret that I did not catch up a British English accent whilst being on my year abroad in Sheffield:-(. I really need to practise my British English oral skills and I would be more than happy to help you with my language knowledge in German, Swiss German, Italian or Spanish.

Please write me a short message if you are interested!

All the best,
Cristina

Re: [English-German]Tandem exchange (Zürich)

Hi, I'm a native English speaker (American) recently having moved here to Schaffhausen. I've started German lessons, but Rosetta Stone and once a week group aren't enough. I'd really like a conversation language exchange with a native German speaker. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks,
