Would you like someone to come and do the exam for you?

Why not fide? From what people have posted on EF it's more applicable to daily life scenarios and not that difficult. It's also accepted by Kt Zh

OH, Honestly - never heard of this...Do you have any experiences or recommend this better than Telc or Goethe?

However a few members have recently posted about the Fide exam and it sounded a bit easier and more structured towards life here. Belgianmum took the exam for French, and Homer took the exam for German.

I did Telc A2 and Telc B1 some time aago and it was OK (as in I passed) - it wasn't too hard but lasted eternity (like 4-5 hours total)
Also - interesting note - I did my B1 in Konstanz and it was half the price vs Swiss testing centers...

My German teacher recommends TELC up to B2, then only Goethe do the C1 and C2. However, I have been told that if you intend to return to India at some point, Goethe is the more recognised qualification there.

Do a search here for Fide. There's a thread with a link to exam preparation materials.
Blueangel makes a good point - if you think you'll want certification for outside of Switzerland as well, you might want to go with the more recognized schools. If you only need it here, Fide is sufficient.

fide offer a couple of different exams - the one I took involved submitting a CV and evidence of learning and using German recently in order to 'dodge' a longer (and more expensive) exam.
More info on this scheme (which is supposedly suitable for applying for citizenship) can be found here: https://www.fide-info.ch/doc/08_Spra...oblattWeg3.pdf | This user would like to thank Homer for this useful post: | |

I was teaching and administering the TELC in English and would prefer not sharing my (@$%^) experiences here. |
