Learning German: will 3 months make a difference

Hi

I'm an Asian, fluent in both English and French, good at learning foreign language (both at pronounciation and memorizing new words).

For finding a job in Switzerland, it is best to known German, thus I plan to learn German.

Anyone want to share the long way with me?
Thanks

Hi there IT student..

If you join a group lesson - all your fellow students will be on the same journey as yourself !

3 months doesn't sound long enough though - I think one needs atleast a year to get fluent - if you've never learnt German before that is...

Alles Gute.

Well if you've got a lot of time to devote to it (and using flash cards would help a lot here for vocab), you won't be fluent in three months, but you could reach a considerable ability in German.

Re: Learning German: will 3 months make a difference

Hi there IT,
I was on the same boat about a couple of years ago. In Switzerland it becomes compulsory to learn at least 2 other languages. I invested 2 months and money to learn german. I should say, the super intensive course paid well. My german is not perfect.... but I can watch german movies, read the newspaper and novels in german and of course communicate in german. So I say, its not impossible.

Good luck
