English-German-Tandem (in Bern), offer German

Hi everybody

a short while ago I came across this forum while I was looking for a English-German-Tandem and I just decided to give it a try

I’ m a native “high” german speaker who came to Bern one year ago and I like to improve my English speaking skills (which are quite poor).
In case you like to practise some German (and are more or less free of pain concerning English-mistakes ), I would be happy to hear from you. Perhaps we could meet for a cup of coffee and a relaxed “bi-lingual” chat in Bern?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Cheers

Dorothee

Hi Dorothee,

I would be interested in this.
I really need to practice my German.
I am Irish and I have recently moved to Bern. I understand Hochdetusch ok, but speaking it is something I have to practice.

Hi

thanks for your respond! Perhaps we could give it a try next Saturday or Sunday? This weekend and the next week are unfortunately already quite crowded.

Cheers
Dorothee

Re: English-German-Tandem (in Bern), offer German

Hi Dorothee,

I am very interested to practise and improve my German skills with you in exchange for English and I hope your offer is still open . My first language is English and mother tongue is Chinese. If you are interested and don't mind my little 3-year-old daughter tagging along, we could meet up on Monday or Thursday afternoons from 13:00 at Migros or Coop restaurant for tea and chitchat.

Looking forward to your reply soon!

Best Regards,
Shauna

This post was from 2009 and it does not appear that the OP has been back on the Forum since then so I would say it was a bit of a longshot.

However, maybe someone else can help out? Good luck.
