Tandempartner/in gesucht!

Hey all,

I'm throwing my hat into the 'language exchange' ring! I'm a native American English speaker looking to partner with a native German speaker. Ich habe schon jahrelang Deutschkurse gemacht und kann mich nicht schlecht äussern, aber ich rede trotzdem mit Fehlern. I've also done the Tandempartner thing on and off over the years and quite like the results. I'm an ex-ESL instructor and native West Coaster, so if anyone is keen on perfecting their Californian sound, then I'm your gal.

Interesse geweckt? Melde dich!

Hi Markus.
Would you be interested in doing Skype sessions? I am not a native English speaker, but quite fluent in English (Danish origin). I am interested in improving my German skills.

Re: Find Your Tandem/Language Exchange Partner on EF!

Hello folks,

I am new in the country and I would like to join the group, socialize and even make some friends here. My dossier, here we go:

i) I am learning French. I do have pretty good basics but I have never used the language properly. Recently I subscribed for a French class B1 so I hope to improve it quickly. Also I would be grateful if someone could teach me a Swiss German dialect

ii) my mother tongue is Lithuanian. I am looking forward to the overwhelming interest for learning the language already D

I also do speak decent German, so perhaps I could contribute to someone having A1-A2 level

The last country I was living in was Ireland. Even though I have never had issues with English myself I don't feel I could teach it anyone, much rather I would like to chat with some native speakers and practice it myself

iii) close to Basel

iv) personal interests

fitness, learning languages, multilingualism, European social affairs, IT management

v) short introduction about myself

I have studied in Germany and I have worked in different countries in both English and German. I have also been a stagiaire in the European institutions a while ago but the last 3-4 years I have been doing IT support in German and English. Moved to Switzerland for a personal reasons and looking for a job

v) short introduction about yourself
I am a Chinese male from mainland China, I have studied in USA for two years thus can communicate well in English. I will study in Zurich from this Sep. and I believe the best way to learn a foreign language is to use it repetitively. If you want to exchange your German with my Mandarin Chinese, I could be a quite good Chinese teacher.

Hello all! I just arrived in Zurich and I'm looking to meet new people, not just for language exchanges but to make friends as well. I like to practice speaking French and Spanish (I studied both at university), and I'm also just starting to learn German. I'm not very good at the latter but I'd be happy to help native speakers to improve their English (I'm a CELTA qualified teacher), in exchange for a bit of patience while I ask you some language/culture-related questions and try to speak your language! I look forward to hearing from you
