Berlitz or Bellingua

After doing some reasearch,i finally managed to drop the number to two, both are around 1000chf per month. So which one would you prefer?
Berlitz is a little more famous and the enviroment seems nice there, but Bellingua looks like a nice and serious school too.

Thanx in advance.

By no means does fame equate to competence or quality. Be careful when selecting a school. There is a thread on this forum that lists a multitude of schools and what experience people have had with them.

Excellent suggestion. It would give you a chance to look at their course materials and see if one appeals more than the other, in addition to assessing the teaching style, etc.

Re: Berlitz or Bellingua

I think in Berliz you are not allowed to take trial lessons, but you may give it a try anyway.

I think the most important factor is not the school itself, but the teacher. Many of them work in more than one school, so you are not necessarily getting the best teachers just because you're paying the most expensive school (since the same teacher may be also lecturing in another cheaper school).

Besides, each teacher has a particular style. Some focus on speaking, others in grammar, some follow the course book, others don't and so on. I recommend you to ask specifically about the teacher assigned to your level and check if his/hers philosophy match yours about language learning.
